The Certificate for Occupational Safety Managers (COSM) is designed for safety leaders who want to advance their careers in safety management. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of safety, health, or environmental work experience.

COSS/COSM Recertification
The Certified Occupational Safety Specialist (COSS) and the Certificate for Occupational Safety Managers (COSM) credentials must be recertified every three (3) years. To maintain COSS or COSM credentials, all certificate holders must demonstrate an ongoing commitment to enhancing the skills needed to remain current in the field of safety through professional development, conferences, and other appropriate activities.
